Mobile Number Checker

Type or paste a number in any format — 0917 123 4567, +63 917…, 0933 123 456, +84 93… — and get the country, original network, valid length and dialing formats.

Prefix directory

Search by prefix or network. — Philippine prefixes and — Vietnamese prefixes tracked. Taiwan uses one national mobile range (09) shared by all carriers.

Format: 10 digits locally (0XX XXX XXXX), +84 XX XXX XXXX internationally. Old 11-digit numbers (012x, 016x, 018x, 019x) were converted to 10 digits in 2018 — an 11-digit Vietnamese mobile is out of date.

Taiwan mobile numbers

All Taiwanese mobile numbers are 10 digits starting with 09 (shown locally as 09XX-XXX-XXX) and +886 9XX XXX XXX internationally. Number blocks are spread across Chunghwa Telecom, Taiwan Mobile and Far EasTone, and portability is common, so the prefix alone cannot reliably identify the carrier — which is why our checker reports the country and format only.

Because Taiwan and Vietnam both use 10-digit numbers starting 09, a number such as 0933 xxx xxx fits both. If someone claims to be calling from one country but the context points to the other, treat that as a warning sign.

How to read a 09 number

A mobile number is a small data structure. In the Philippines the first four digits (09XX) are the prefix that the National Telecommunications Commission originally allocated to one operator. In Vietnam the first three digits (0XX) do the same job after the 2018 change to 10-digit numbering. In Taiwan, 09 simply means “mobile”.

Three practical uses follow. First, the prefix tells you which network a contact probably uses, which still matters for on-net promos and SMS routing costs. Second, the length tells you whether a number is even valid — scam blasts often come from malformed or spoofed numbers. Third, converting to the international E.164 format (+639171234567) is required by almost every SMS API, CRM and WhatsApp link.

Portability caveat. Both the Philippines (Mobile Number Portability Act) and Vietnam allow subscribers to switch operators and keep their number, so the network shown is the original allocation. Treat it as a strong hint, never as proof.

What the checker will never show

Names, addresses or registration details. SIM-registration data is held by operators under strict privacy rules, and any website promising to reveal a stranger's identity from a number is either scraping data illegally or running a scam of its own.
